Embrace Your Inner DIYer with These Fun Fall Crafts
As the weather begins to get cooler, and days get shorter, we spend more time indoors. Tired of TV? Try out these craft ideas!
Purchase cloth placemats in fall colors. Cut an apple in half and dip the apple, cut side down, into fabric paints. Stamp onto the placemat in decorative patterns. Follow the directions on the paints to set the color to the fabric. These make great table decorations for Thanksgiving.
Leaf Print Stationery
Collect fallen leaves that haven’t dried out yet. Dip in poster paint and stamp on pretty paper and envelopes. Tie a set of several sheets of paper and envelopes together with a fall-colored ribbon. This makes a great gift.
Why not borrow a great idea from Easter? Hard-boil some eggs. Dye them orange using food coloring. Use a black permanent marker to draw jack-o-lantern faces on your eggs. This is fun for a Halloween breakfast. You can also decorate with your eggs. Use blown out and cleaned eggs, rather than hardboiled eggs. Make stands out of toilet paper cardboard rolls that have been cut shorter and painted green. This is cute displayed on a windowsill, surrounded by a little white picket fence made of white painted Popsicle sticks.
