Houston JerkFest Brings the Caribbean to Your Hometown

Take your taste buds to the Caribbean when you hit up the annual Houston JerkFest! Born from the idea to bring community and culture together with food, family, music and fun, Houston JerkFest is expected to draw one of the largest crowds at a cultural event ever to be held in the Greater Houston area. This year’s event will take place on Sunday, September 23rd.

Houston JerkFest is a food and music festival centered around a Jerk cook-off competition where contestants compete for top prizes and city-wide recognition. There will be food, vendors, kids zone, and activities for the whole family. Houston JerkFest, or HJF, is the best-kept secret in Texas with plans to grow thanks to an outpouring of community involvement and support.

Houston JerkFest also presents a lively celebration of Caribbean food and culture. There will be Caribbean food booths, custom fine arts and crafts booths, and live performances by world renown Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, and Afro Beats artists featuring Wayne Wonder, Naila Blackman, The Galaxy Band, The J-Unit Band, and more.

This family-friendly event offers free admission to children 12 and under. Tickets for adults are $15 and can be purchased at locations across the city. For more information and ticket locations, visit
